AIEDAP Master Teacher 1st Cohort Training Review

I recently attended a 1-night, 2-day AIEDAP training in Osong.

I had some reflections and found it quite enjoyable, so I decided to write about it.

1. The journey to Osong

The training location was Osong H Hotel.

I couldn’t imagine driving there, so I tried booking a KTX ticket, but almost all trains were full.

So I booked a first-class KTX ticket that arrived an hour early.

And I found out there were welcome drinks and snacks in the KTX first-class for the first time.

You just help yourself to them.

I hadn’t eaten breakfast, so I ate them on the way.

2. Day 1 Training Content

The first class was about AI convergence education by a professor from Seoul National University.

In short, AI utilization education and AI convergence education are different.

AI convergence education involves integrating AI education and subject education in the process of solving problem situations.

There were many new topics to explore, which was great.

After the training in the main lecture hall, we attended classes by subject in smaller lecture halls.

We used various tools like Orange3, EasyOn, and Scratch.

The schedule was so packed that it felt like covering three days' worth of content in one day.

It was exhausting.

3. Starbucks

After the training, I went to Starbucks to study LLM.

There was a Starbucks a 5-minute walk away.

This Starbucks has a sleek and attractive building design.

I studied LLM there for about two hours.

Time flew by as I delved into the topic of embedding vectors.

4. Day 2 Training Content

The day started with breakfast.

As soon as it was 7 AM, I got ready and went for breakfast.

It was a buffet, and it wasn’t bad.

In the morning, we gathered in the main lecture hall for a lecture just like Day 1.

The topic was about AI ethics, and through this class, I learned that AI shouldn’t be used in papers.

And then lunch...

After lunch, we had a class using Orange3.

We were also tasked with creating a lesson plan on AI convergence education.

I submitted a lesson plan on galaxy classification using Teachable Machine and headed back on the KTX.

5. Review

Through the training, I gained some insights.

Especially the recent trends in AI convergence education and the content on AI ethics were particularly refreshing.

I also realized that enormous capital is concentrated in national leadership educational initiatives.

I'm motivated to dive in and take on the challenge.
