While I was teaching, I absentmindedly spun my Apple Pencil 2 and dropped it — of course it landed right on the tip.
After that, the sensitivity of the tip dropped dramatically. I had to press really hard to write…
When I looked it up, there were people who said they grabbed the Apple Pencil with pliers and pulled it out and that worked, but in my case the tip just broke off.
When I searched on Naver to buy a new one…

The price was over 10,000 KRW.
Thinking “Isn’t this made in China anyway?”, I searched on AliExpress.

The exact same product configuration and images as the ones listed on the Korean market were 2.28 dollars.
When I converted it on Naver, that was 3,113 KRW.
Shipping was even free.

Exactly.
If you know electronics, buying in Korea makes you a sucker.
Including shipping, the price difference is about 4 times.
I wonder if someday even this will need KC certification…
Anyway, the item arrived a week after I ordered it.

These days, AliExpress also does packaging quite neatly.
Overseas shipping has become more active than before, so it feels like they’re paying more attention.

The packaging and included items are better than I expected.
It’s only about 3,000 won, so I’ll just think of it as something I bought at Daiso.

I attached the tip and tried using it in GoodNotes.
I honestly can’t tell the difference from the original tip.

I also tried it once in the Procreate app.
Things like pressure sensitivity and responsiveness are totally fine.

I tested it in GoodNotes, Procreate, and Illustrator, and in terms of sensitivity and feel, there’s no issue at all.

If you use an Apple Pencil, it might be a good idea to think of it as insurance, order a pack from AliExpress, and then just wait comfortably.
Definitely keep at least one spare.
No, this is the kind of product you really should buy two of.
