With the aim of finding affordable vegetable leather in Sinseol-dong, I wandered around here and there.

1. 37 Leather
A place that handles small, pre-cut leathers, where you can purchase small quantities of vegetable leather and Pueblo, about 1-2 pyeong in size.
Although the unit price is high due to the pre-cut nature, you can purchase a wide variety of leathers.
It is like a place of light and salt for hobby leather crafters.
I have recently learned that they also handle Pueblo shoulders from Florence Leather.
The price ranges from 16,000 to 19,000 won.
2. Florence Leather
Following Etcheverr Leather, a place that quickly imported and sold Pueblo-type leathers.
They mainly sell imported vegetable leathers.
Among them, 'Pontebelli' leather was known for its good cost-effectiveness.
Although there was a lot of wastage, I liked the durability, color, and finish of the leather.
A great place for beginners to purchase vegetable leather.
3. DH Leather
Originally specializing in chrome leather, DH Leather recently started to sell vegetable leathers.
Of course, purchasing via their website is possible.
The size is about 2 pyeong of pre-cut leather; ordinary vegetable leather cost around 14,000 won, and Pueblo around 17,000 won.
That seems like really reasonable pricing.
Although the color variety isn't extensive yet, they plan to gradually increase it.

4. Shinyoung Leather, Moduda International
These are leather shops at the entrance of Sinseol-dong market, selling various unique vegetable leathers.
The owners of Moduda International and Shinyoung Leather are acquaintances...
Were they family?
Anyway, that's how it was.
I once purchased oil-treated Pueblo leather at Moduda International.
The owner said it was custom-made, and I liked its texture and tightness.
I went into Shinyoung Leather that day and took some pictures.
On the right wall inside Shinyoung Leather were vegetable leathers, and on the left, chrome leathers were placed.
They sell leftover chrome leathers from factory orders at very cheap prices, making them good for practice purchases.
While looking for inexpensive vegetable leather at Shinyoung Leather, I noticed goat leather in front of the store.
It felt like Pueblo, with a unit price of 6,000 won and about 7 pyeong per piece.
So I bought it right away.
The left is Shinyoung Leather's goat vegetable, the right is a vegetable raw leather purchased at Leather Master.
I like the firmness and color of both leathers.
5. To Buy Leather in Sinseol-dong
In fact, it doesn't matter where you go; making your own suppliers is important, and for that, courage is essential.
Like choosing clothes, wander around various places to find where the leather that appeals to you is located.
Many have moved online, but the leather market is still more active offline.
Put in the legwork.
Perhaps, you can find even cheaper and better vegetable leather.
